Smileyi and Silver Link Productions are doing everything we can do prevent piracy of our music. To safeguard against piracy, all of our music is located on CD Baby. “Daniel Shaw, AKA “Smiley I”, native of Kingston, Jamaica. Smiley I, is a singer, songwriter, producer and proud owner of the Independent Record Label, ‘Silverlink Production’. In 1998, Smiley I signed, co-wrote, and produced Junior P and Richard Crawford, AKA “Imani” on the single “Release Me”. As an Alumni of Papine Secondary School, Shaw began embracing his passion for the Arts and love for Music at age 15. He involved himself in the Reggae and Dancehall Music scene, where he was exposed to, and participated with live bands and DJ-ing on sounds as he developed his own eclectic sound in Music. The development of Smiley I’s unique style is the result of a lifetime of musical influences, namely; General Echo, Oscar Hibbert AKA “ Junior Delgardo, Yellow Man, Buju Banton, and Low Ranger. Upon realising that making Music was his main goal, Smiley I began to Showcase his talent in various venues and play numerous gigs, making sure his name and music were being heard b”
